Live broadcast, October 5th news recently, 76-person coach Rivers talked about the role he hoped Harden would play in the team in the new season when he was a guest ESPN program.
Rivers said: “We have talked a lot about letting Harden play the team leader (facilitator), but I want him to be himself. If I have to combine it, I want him to be a scoring Magic Johnson. I don’t know, but this is the role I want him to play.
“I want him to be James Harden, but at the same time I also want him to play the role of team leader. Therefore, Harden plays an increasingly important role in the team in many aspects. I just want him to think more, (score and organization) both.”
