In 2019, Calderon announced his official retirement. After his retirement, he served in the players’ union. He played a total of 895 games in his NBA career, winning 8.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 5.8 assists.
During the offseason, Rubio returned to the Cavaliers and signed a three-year contract of $18.4 million. In the 2021-22 season, Rubio played 34 games for the Cavaliers, winning 13.1 points and 4.1 rebounds 6.6 assists 1.4 steals, but he later suffered a tear of the left anterior crossed ligament, it is then traded to the Walker.
