Lakers star Anthony Davis said in an interview that the goal of the new season is to play 82 games and help the team win.
When asked if he wanted to be the defensive player of the year, Davis said: “That’s not my concern. My goal is to play 82 games and help the team win. If we can focus on the defensive side and win, and at the same time I play a high level, that kind of thing will naturally exist. But I don’t think about what I need to do to get an award. I just play basketball.”
