Live Bar, October 12th recently, 76-person coach Rivers talked about the reason why only one champion was won during the Celtics coaching in the famous book Woj’s podcast.
Rivers said: “We started to send away all the key jigsaw players, Tony Allen, James Posey and so on. I think Warriors have done a good job on this point. They are very wise. They keep core players for a long time and start some operations when those players get older. It is very difficult for a team to succeed continuously, which is no longer normal.”
In 2008, Rivers led the team to enter the finals and win the championship. In 2010, Celtics entered the finals again but lost to the Lakers.
