He talked about that he missed the game at the end of last season because of an ankle injury. He said: “It’s frustrating not to be part of the playoff Spurs. Fortunately, I had a complete off-season after that, and I was able to recuperate slowly instead of rushing back. Now everything feels good and I am ready.”
In the 21-22 season, McDermott played 51 games on behalf of Spurs, with an average contribution of 11.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
