Q: everything is uncertain in NBA. You don’t know where you will play next week. Then this year, you went back to Europe to play basketball and signed a contract with Barcelona for 4 years. Are you looking for stability?
A: Yes, this is one of the main reasons why I decided to return to Europe. Not only because I love Barcelona, but also because my children can live a stable life in a place when playing basketball in Barcelona. As you said, playing in NBA, even if you have a good contract, the team can still trade you.
Q: Do you think this is the worst thing in NBA?
A: I think this is the hardest part. The fact is that NBA is a business, which I don’t want to accept. You are always enthusiastic about basketball. Obviously, they pay us a lot of money, but sometimes its commercial taste is too strong, which makes it difficult to establish chemical reactions inside the team. Chemical reactions are very important. Spain men’s basketball showed this at this year’s European Championship. This is the most difficult part, especially when you have children, it is really difficult for some players.
